The Biggest Problem Crushing Network Marketing and How to Avoid It

Network marketing (MLM) is becoming the largest industry on the planet. It has created more millionaires than any other world wide. With its current rise people are now starting to see the value that it provides.

I remember the very first question that my sponsor asked me, “Are you coach-able?” I had an idea what this industry was from my experiences in the military a few years before. I also had a negative outlook at first as I thought they were all scams. With a new found appreciation for what it is and a passion to get started I immediately answered, ” yes I am and I’m ready to get started.”

My journey began that day and I haven’t looked back since. As I began to get on the training and going out talking to people my enthusiasm began to fade. I was not sure if I was going to be able to do this. I did a search online for self-help books, pamphlets, and coaching and this is when it dawned on me. My uncertainty in myself was killing my dream.

Uncertainty was the biggest problem crushing my business.

Uncertainty is defined as the quality or state of being uncertain, something that is doubtful or unknown, or something that is uncertain.

Uncertainty is THE BIGGEST DREAM STEALER! It will not ALLOW SUCCESS and it will not ALLOW MOMENTUM in your business.

Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt plague the normal person’s everyday thoughts. Many people spend their time thinking about these “what if” scenarios, especially in Network Marketing.

Many people find themselves charmed by the benefits.

There is the small amount of risk. There is a certain amount of inherited risk involved when you become a network marketer.

The advantage of starting an MLM Program is that there is a small financial risk to get started. With a couple of hundred dollars, it is possible to get started in a company marketing products that you already consume. The amount of money involved is insignificant compared with that of a traditional business.

You don’t have to worry about hiring employees. This is a clear advantage over traditional businesses. Depending on how big you want to grow your business, it may be important to hire independent contractor to outsource some things.

Without any employees, it’s possible to build a business right from home without the added benefit of employees concerns.

You now have the benefit of no inventory. Traditionally Network Marketing companies have their distributors load up on inventory. This concept alone has given the industry a bad wrap for many years.

However, modern companies do capitalize on the technology and tools available to make your business more agile in any market condition.

Network marketing provides low operating costs. This model makes it possible to run a business at lower expenses than any other business model.

There is a huge demand for good quality products. There are hundreds of network marketing companies that promote just as many products. I once heard that there is a MLM for every product ever made.

Distributors can be paid when they have (repeat) customers for their products and when they recruit more representatives.

Due to recruiting you can look for residual income. You pay your gas, your electricity, and your phone bill every single month. These are the types of services that provide an ongoing stream of residual income.

The best advantage of an MLM Program is that it provides you the opportunity to enjoy income just like those companies.

There is also huge income potential. There is no cap on how much money you can make. In most companies there are limitation on what you can make per hour. Regardless how hard you work or the skills you have your income is tied to a “market standard.”

In network marketing, that is not the case. It is completely up to you how much you earn. An MLM company does not hold you back in the same ways traditional business does.

With all of these great benefits you can see why the allure of Network Marketing brings so many people in.

How to avoid the uncertainty that comes with Network Marketing.

Network marketing has many great benefits and a lot to learn when you first come in. It is important to know your end results first. Set goals and know what you want to accomplish.

If you are still wavering, in you mind about what you want, then fear and uncertainty are allowed to sink in. Write down what you want, be very specific and clear, and know why you want it.

Find a mentor and a community that will help you learn and stay focused. That will help you fire your boss.

Craig Boneau said it best in his article, 5 Straight-Forward Ways to Find Motivation Within Yourself,  “Give yourself only two options, succeed or fail.”

The skills set is key. Once you trained yourself to be a top marketer, you can market anything you choose and generate the income you want.

That’s the dream that every network marketer chases. It can only be attained with sharp skills and a clear understanding of how to get there.

I say this in just about every post, ” Network marketing is a business for people who love to help people.” Find fulfillment in the lifestyle and help as many people as you can. When you’re passionate about helping others money will follow, period!

With all of these amazing benefits in MLM it’s a wonder how people end up uncertain.  Be certain to at least pay for your monthly subscription or auto-ship. Be certain to make it work or don’t start at all!

I wish you all the amazing success at being an Entrepreneur. The amazing journey of owning your life begins. Be responsible for it and make it as big as you want to be!
